Soothing Soles Podiatry was established by Melbourne based podiatrist, Emily White. Emily identified a need for high quality foot care for people who are unable to access podiatry in a clinical setting, whether this be due to family or work commitments, limited mobility or disability.
Emily completed her Bachelor of Health Sciences with a Masters in Podiatric Practice at La Trobe University, Bundoora. During this time she also practised within the NHS while on a six-month exchange program at The Glasgow Caledonian University, Scotland. This is also where she met her radiographer husband Gavin!
Since graduating, Emily has supervised and mentored podiatry students during their clinical placement at La Trobe University, private podiatry clinics and at Northern Health. She has developed broad personal and professional experience from her work in large public hospitals, private podiatry clinics and aged care facilities. Emily is a proud member of the Australian Podiatry Association (APODA) and enjoys furthering her knowledge and staying up to date with the latest research through regular ongoing professional development.
Emily has experience in all areas of podiatry with major interests in seniors’ foot care, diabetes foot care, orthotics and children’s feet. She has a gentle but thorough approach and enjoys implementing an individualised treatment plan to maximise your foot health.
When not working, Emily enjoys spending time with her young son and daughter and her Scottish husband, Gavin. Emily is also a keen singer, having previously completed a Bachelor of Music (classical voice) and Bachelor of Arts (psychology) and loves a night out at the theatre.
